Part B - Medical Insurance

  • There is a penalty added to your monthly premium each year that you could have signed up for did not, unless you have other credible coverage.
  • You will pay the penalty for as long as you have Part B.
  • There is also a deductible.  The deductible is what you must pay before Medicare will pay anything.

Are you still working past 65 yrs old?

There are some instances where you can sign up later, without penalty.

Do not assume you are exempt.  'JustAskTam' about your situation.  There is never a charge for asking me anything.  As found on the very public Medicare website, it tells you that most people sign up for both Part A and Part B when they are first eligible.  However, there are instances where it makes sense to sign up later.  I can help you understand what is best for your situation.

Knowledge is Power!

Why do you have AEP every year?  Because things change....plans change every year.  Premiums, copays, drug list, networks, extras.  People's lives change every year.  Your health, your doctors, income and medications.  So Annual Enrollment Period is your built in check up.  You get to make the adjustments needed.  If your plan does not fit you anymore, you can change it.  This is where I come in.  I  will look at all of the variables and tell you what you are working with.  I will break it all down for you.... and you will make the best decision for you.

AEP = October 15th - December 2nd

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is a busy period in this Medicare land.

Nevertheless- this is when you want to make your changes.  These changes will go into effect January 1st.

It is very important that you evaluate your coverage and get educated on the changes that will occur.  I will help you with that.  Working with me, you will not have any surprises!

You can call me now to get an understanding on your currently plan.  But starting October 1st - we can compare the current plan and any changes that will occur.
